On December 12-13, 2018, the representative of the University of Zakho, and the Administrator of Career Development Centre -Mr. Lawend I. Mohammed has successfully participated in a two- day workshop that has been held in Baghdad, Iraq, under the headline of "Workforce Development Conference 2018: Multisectoral Approach to Improving Workforce Development." The goal of the workshop was promoting collaboration among government, industry, and universities to strengthen workforce development in Iraq, discussing skills needed for graduates, private sector employability and career development. Likewise, in this workshop, some points were demonstrated on preparing students for jobs, problems that are faced by students in companies and private sectors, skills needed to apply for jobs, and problems of companies with alumni.

It is worth to mention that the workshop was organized by IREX and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, with the support of the United States Embassy/Baghdad for Career Development Centers all around Iraq and the Kurdistan Regional Government.
